QUALITY CLAUSES BACKSHELL

Cage Code 31461

The following Purchase Order Quality Clauses, with their terms and conditions, become an integral part of the Purchase Order to the extent specified on the Purchase Order. Changes, additions, or deletions to the invoked Quality Clauses must be made by Purchase Order revision. Shipments will not be considered complete and invoices will not be honored until all requirements are fulfilled.

 

The seller shall maintain a Quality system that complies with Specification MIL-Q-9858, Quality Control Systems Requirements. Not withstanding the provisions of this clause, the seller is in no way relieved of the final responsibility to furnish the supplies or services specified herein. The Contractor's system will be subject to review and approval at all times by Electro Adapter.

QC-2. INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS – MIL-I-45208

The seller shall maintain a Quality system that complies with Specification MIL-I-45208, Inspection System Requirements. Not withstanding the provisions of this clause, the seller is in no way relieved of the final responsibility to furnish the supplies or services specified herein. The Contractor's system will be subject to review and approval at all times by Electro Adapter.

QC-3. QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM – ISO 9001

The contractor's Quality System will conform to the requirements of the elements described in ISO 9001, Model for Quality Assurance in Production, Installation, and Servicing. Third party registration by an accredited registrar will be accepted. Contractor's declaring compliance to ISO 9001 with no formal accredited registration, may require review. Not withstanding the provisions of this clause, the seller is in no way relieved of the final responsibility to furnish the supplies or services specified herein. The Contractor's system will be subject to review and approval at all times by Electro Adapter.

QC-4. NASA SPECIFICATIONS NPC 200-3

The seller shall provide and maintain a system that complies with NASA Specification NPC 200-3, Inspection System Provisions for Suppliers of Space Materials, Parts, Components, and Services. Not withstanding the provisions of this clause, the seller is no way reliev

QC-5. CALIBRATION

The contractor's calibration system must comply with ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, and/or ISO 10012-1. All Certifications will state, as a minimum, that all standards used are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, date of calibration, date of expiration, list those standards used, and the technician's signature.

QC-6. SOURCE INSPECTION – ELECTRO ADAPTER

Electro Adapter personnel must inspect all items covered by this Purchase Order at your facility prior to shipment. This will include surveillance of the seller's procedures, and facilities. The seller shall furnish, at no cost to Buyer, necessary facilities and equipment, supply data, and perform tests as required by applicable drawings, specifications, and inspection instructions. Note: when requesting source inspection, call Electro Adapter Buyer at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance.

QC-7. SOURCE INSPECTION – GOVERNMENT

Government inspection is required prior to shipment from your plant. Immediately notify the government representative who normally services your plant and the Electro Adapter buyer of the planned inspection date. On receipt of this order, promptly furnish a copy of the Purchase order to the government representative who normally services your plant, or, if none, contact the Electro Adapter buyer immediately.

QC-8. RIGHT OF ACCESS

Electro Adapter (the Buyer), the Buyer's Customer, or representatives of the Government or any Regulatory Agency reserves the right to review or inspect your quality control and/or manufacturing systems or processes during the performance of this P.O. By accepting this purchase order you (the Supplier) agree to allow entry to representatives of Electro Adapter (the Buyer), the Buyer's Customer, or representatives of the Government or any Regulatory Agency to perform this review or inspection.

QC-9. M.R.B. AUTHORITY

Material Review Board authority is NOT granted under this purchase order. Any deviations to this purchase order and/or the listed specifications must be coordinated with Electro Adapter before shipment. In the event an item being supplied has received MRB disposition from Electro Adapter or Electro Adapter's customer, the Supplier must include a copy of each MRB disposition with the shipment.

QC-10. TOOL PROOFING

Acceptance of production tooling on this Purchase Order shall be contingent upon inspection and acceptance by Electro Adapter. The tooling and dimensional samples produced by this tooling must conform to the tolerance limits of engineering drawings and specifications stated on the Purchase Order. An Electro Adapter Quality Representative may conduct this inspection at the seller's facilities or the items may be shipped to Electro Adapter for inspection, as directed by the buyer. Dimensional samples should be identified with the tool number.

QC-11. FIRST ARTICLES

A first article produced under this order shall be submitted for Electro Adapter inspection prior to making further shipments. This Inspection is solely for Electro Adapter convenience and shall not waive Electro Adapter's right to reject any parts not conforming to this order.

QC-12. TEST BARS (CASTING)

(Castings) – The seller shall furnish with each shipment of castings two (2) test bars representative of each heat treat lot and made from the same melt as castings supplied. Specimens shall conform to Federal Test Method E607 per ASTM B 85-03. One (1) spectrographic disc representative of the entire heat or melt. Test bars and disc shall be permanently identified with the seller's name or trademark, melt and heat treat lot numbers, and alloy identification.

QC-13. TEST BARS (FORGINGS)

(Forgings) – The seller shall furnish with each shipment of forgings two (2) test bars produced from the same heat of material as the forgings supplied. Test bars must have the same percentage of reduction as parts supplied. Test bars shall be permanently identified with the seller's name or trademark, material heat number, heat treat lot number and alloy identification.

QC-14. TEST PLUGS (molded)

Seller shall furnish with each shipment, two (2) test plugs, approximately 2" in diameter x ¼" thick which shall be representative of each heat, lot or batch used in the fabrication of the items submitted.

QC-15. CHEMICAL TEST REPORTS

The Vendor must furnish chemical analysis and test reports with each shipment. Reports must include heat or lot number, actual results of tests, test specifications, and bear the company name, signature and title of an authorized representative of the company. A legible and reproducible copy of all reports identifiable to this order must accompany each shipment with materials submitted.

QC-16. PHYSICAL TEST REPORTS

The Vendor must furnish physical analysis and test reports with each shipment. Reports must include heat or lot number, actual results of tests, test specifications, and bear the company name, signature and title of an authorized representative of the company. A legible and reproducible copy of all reports identifiable to this order must accompany each shipment with materials submitted.

QC-17. FUNCTIONAL TEST REPORTS

Each shipment must be accompanied by a legible and reproducible copy of reports of actual results identifiable with test parameters and products submitted. These reports must contain the signature and title of the authorized representative of the agency performing the test and must assure conformance to specified requirements.

QC-18. PROCESS CERTIFICATION

The Vendor must furnish chemical/physical analysis and test reports with each shipment. Reports must actual results of tests, test specifications, and bear the company name, signature and title of an authorized representative of the company. A legible and reproducible copy of all reports identifiable to this order must accompany each shipment with materials submitted. WHEN PARTS ARE SERIALIZED, SERIAL NUMBERS MUST APPEAR ON THE CERTIFICATION.

QC-19. NONDESTRUCTIVE TEST REPORTS

A legible and reproducible copy of actual Nondestructive Test results identifiable with acceptance requirements and material submitted must accompany each shipment. These reports must contain the signature and title of the authorized representative of the agency performing the inspection and must assure conformance to specified requirements.

QC-20. CERTIFICATION OF X-RAY

All parts requiring radiographic certification will be submitted to Electro Adapter Inc. approved X-Ray laboratory and processed in accordance with Electro Adapter Inc. and / or Government specifications and standards. Laboratory personnel reading and interpreting film on parts of Electro Adapter Inc. shall be subject to examination and certification by Electro Adapter Inc. X-Ray findings will be reported on an appropriate form, including the name of the reader and the signature and title of an authorized laboratory representative. The x-ray film and a legible and reproducible copy of the report must accompany the material. An adequate method of identifying and cross-referencing each film exposure, report and item must be provided.

QC-21. FINAL ACCEPTANCE

Final acceptance will be based on Electro Adapter inspection and testing results at destination.

QC-22. STATEMENT OF CONFORMITY

A legible and reproducible Statement of Conformity must accompany each shipment. This Statement must bear the signature and title of an authorized representative of the seller stating the materials or processes supplied meet applicable specifications cited in the Purchase Order. The specifications and revision must be listed. Supplier shall certify that documentary evidence in the form of physical and chemical test results and inspection records of this material and/or processes indicating conformance to applicable purchase order specifications are on file and available for review by Electro Adapter or its authorized representative.

QC-23. LOT CONTROL – MIXED LOTS

The supplier shall certify that material furnished is from the same heat, lot or batch, as applicable. All suppliers of limited life material shall include the material cure date for his product for each shipment. Where shipments contain parts with different cure dates, are from different heats, lots or batches, separation into sub-lot and separate certification of sub-lots is required. Two (2) copies of certification shall be included with each shipment for each lot or sub-lot.

QC-24. LOT CONTROL – SAME LOT

All items on this purchase order are to be from the same manufacturing / processing lot and shall all bare the same Lot code identity.

QC-25. LIMITED SHELF LIFE

Seller shall ensure that at least 85% of the material's shelf life is remaining upon delivery to the Buyer. Seller shall ensure that containers are plainly and legibility marked as to the contents, expiration date, and any warnings, precautions, instructions and storage conditions.

QC-26. PACKAGING

Each part submitted to Electro-Adapter, Inc. shall be wrapped and / or packaged in such a manner to prevent damage during shipment.

QC-27. INSPECTION AND / OR PRODUCTION TOOLING

Seller is held responsible for the protection, calibration and care other than normal wear, of all Production and / or Inspection tooling furnished by Electro Adapter, for use in the performance of purchase order requirements. All tooling shall be subject to Electro-Adapter surveillance and / or inspection upon notice. Said tooling, or replacement tooling of equal quality, shall be returned in an acceptable condition upon demand or notice.

QC-28. SAMPLING INSPECTION

Sampling inspection may be performed in conjunction with this purchase order. If, prior to use, the sampling plan has been submitted and approved by the Electro Adapter Quality Control Department. NOTE: The use of a sampling plan in no way effects Electro Adapter's right to reject any unit(s) of product found defective.

QC-29. PROTECTION OF MATERIALS

The parts sent to your facility for processing are easily damaged. Handle with care in processing and packaging.

QC-31. RECORD RETENTION ― 10 YEARS.

Supplier is required to maintain on file all records pertaining to the completion of this order for a minimum of 10 years. The supplier may elect to send a copy of these records to Electro Adapter in lieu of this storage requirement.

QC-32. ELECTRO ADAPTER FURNISHED MATERIAL

The supplier shall certify that material used in fabrication is the material furnished by Electro Adapter Inc.

QC-33. PROCESS CONTROL

Supplier must notify Electro Adapter of any proposed changes to items ordered (i.e. materials, processes, etc.) and obtain written approval prior to shipment.

QC-34. PURCHASE ORDER CONFLICTS

In the event of any inconsistency or conflict between or among the previsions of this Purchase Order, please contact the Electro Adapter Buyer for resolution.

QC-35 MERCURY FREE PRODUCT

By accepting this purchase order, you certify that the product or service you supply to Electro Adapter is free from mercury contamination. If mercury is a component of your processes, please contact the Electro Adapter buyer for direction.

QC-36 LEAD FREE PRODUCT

By accepting this purchase order, you certify that the product or service you supply to Electro Adapter is free from lead contamination. If lead is a component of your processes, please contact the Electro Adapter buyer for direction.

QC-37 SPECIALTY METALS (DFARS 252.225-7014)

By accepting this order, you certify that the steels and titanium supplied under this purchase order to Electro Adapter as raw material have been domestically melted in the United States, its possessions, or Puerto Rico.

QC-38 EEO
